Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Cambridge better than CBSE?
A: Neither is "better" — Cambridge is ideal for families considering higher education abroad or wanting an inquiry-based, international approach. CBSE is exam-centric and India-focused. Many of our Cambridge students later transition seamlessly to CBSE Grade 11 if needed.
Q: Will my child struggle if we move to a CBSE school later?
A: No. The Cambridge program (from Class 6) covers the same concepts as CBSE but with deeper understanding. Our transition support includes bridge programs for families switching boards.
Q: Do Cambridge students take board exams?
A: Cambridge Checkpoint (Grade 8) is diagnostic — not a pass/fail board exam. IGCSE (Grade 10) is the first formal qualification, recognized equivalently to CBSE/ICSE by Indian universities.
Q: Is the Cambridge program only for NRI families?
A: Absolutely not. 70% of our Cambridge families are Chennai-based professionals who want global-ready education without leaving the city.
Q: What happens after Grade 8?
A: Students can continue at Bodhana's Adolescent Program or transition to any Cambridge school worldwide for IGCSE (Grades 9-10), followed by IB Diploma, A-Levels, or return to CBSE/State Board.
